Nurturing the culture of excellence, a dream towards your destiny.
Learn hard. Grow kind. Aim high.
St. Philomena's enriches the lives of every child in Vidyaranyapura within a learning environment that is both encouraging and disciplined. Since 1989, we have built strength of mind and strength of character in equal measure, preparing students to face the future with confidence and integrity.

for 37 years
Welcome to St. Philomena's โ a School & PU College in Vidyaranyapura
Small steps today. Big futures tomorrow.
Some children walk through our gate holding a parent's hand a little too tightly. Others race in, bag bouncing, ready for everything. Both belong here.
At St. Philomena's, we start by understanding the child, then shape the learning around them. Strong academics, caring mentors, and real-world experiences work together so students leave with more than marks. They leave with a voice, a conscience, and the confidence to use both.

Why Philomena's?
What We Stand On, Every Single Day
Our commitment to character and excellence is carried out in specific, visible ways.
Instruction Built on Understanding
Students are expected to explain the reasoning behind an answer, not simply produce it โ a standard applied consistently across every subject and level.
Each Student Is Known Individually
Class sizes are kept at a level that lets teachers notice a change in a student's engagement or wellbeing, and respond to it without delay.
Development Beyond the Timetable
Yoga, skating, Taekwondo and calligraphy are taught alongside the core curriculum โ because discipline and confidence grow through more than academics alone.
Accountability Built Into the Campus
School transport operates on GPS tracking and the campus is monitored by CCTV throughout the school day โ a parent's trust met with verifiable practice.
Conduct Addressed When It Occurs
Matters of discipline and respect are corrected as they arise, in the classroom and beyond it, rather than deferred to a term-end report.
Thirty-Seven Years of Service
St. Philomena's has taught the children of Vidyaranyapura since 1989. A number of parents enrolling their children today were themselves educated in these classrooms.

From the Principal's Desk
A School Is a Team Sport
Children do their best work when home and school pull in the same direction. Teachers bring the lessons, parents bring the encouragement, and students bring the effort. When all three show up, marks follow, and so do confidence and kindness.

Our philosophy on learning
Say Yes to Something New
Nobody knows their strengths on day one. A child might discover a love for debating in Class 6, a gift for drawing in Class 8, or a passion for physics in PU. That is why we keep doors open. Students here can take the stage at Annual Day, lead their house on the sports field, build a working science model or run their own club.
Some ideas succeed. Some teach a lesson instead. Both help children learn who they are, and that is the kind of learning they carry for life.

The St. Philomena's Experience
He introduced the chief guest. On stage. Out loud.
My son used to hide behind me at every school event. Last month he walked up to the mic himself. I still don't know exactly how they did it, but I'm grateful every single day.

My stream was chosen in one honest conversation.
After Class 10, everyone had an opinion about what I should study. My mentor was the only one who asked what I actually enjoy. That one question saved me months of second-guessing.

His teacher knows his favourite colour.
He comes home with stories now, not complaints. She knows his best friend's name, the sums he finds tricky and the days he needs a little extra encouragement. Attention like that is rare.

Come See Where Your Child Could Thrive
Photos are lovely. Brochures are helpful. But nothing compares to walking through the corridors and feeling the place for yourself. Bring your child, bring your questions, and let us show you around.
